These flavored waters are easy to make and will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days. Enjoy well-chilled, with or without ice.
Melon & Mint
Ingredients:
- 1 cup honeydew melon, cut into chunks
- 12-15 fresh mint leaves
- 4 cups filtered or spring water
- Garnish with lemongrass (optional)
Directions:
- Place melon, mint and water in a blender and blend well.
- Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large bottle, decanter or jar.
- Chill well before drinking.
Blueberry & Lemon
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- Zest from 1/2 a lemon
- 1/8 tsp. ground dried ginger
- 1 cup filtered or spring water
- Sparkling water for serving
Directions:
- Place blueberries, lemon zest, ground ginger, and spring water in a blender and blend well.
- Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large bottle, decanter or jar.
- Chill well.
- To serve, pour some of the blueberry-lemon mixture into a glass. Add a desired amount of sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
- Add more of the blueberry-lemon mixture and/or sparkling water to taste.
Raspberry & Pomegranate
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- Juice from 1/2 of a lemon, strained and seeds removed
- 4 cups sparkling water
Directions:
- In a small bowl, crush the raspberries and add the pomegranate juice.
- Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large bottle, decanter or jar. Press down on the fruit solids to get as much juice as possible through the strainer.
- Add the lemon juice to the raspberry-pomegranate mixture and chill.
- To serve, use 1/4 of the fruit juice mixture to one cup sparkling water. Add ice if desired.
