A Delightful Summer

The perfect combination of cake and sherbet for that hot summer day. It’s cool, refreshing and packs a punch. Learn how to make yours today:

Ingredients:

  • 1 commercial angel food cake
  • 1 quart lime sherbet, softened
  • 1 quart lemon sherbet, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed in refrigerator

Slice cake horizontally into 3 separate layers placing each layer on a plate. Spread lime sherbet on one cake layer and freeze. Repeat this step with the lemon sherbet and freeze. Once both layers of cake have been coated with sherbet, place the lemon layer on top of the lime layer, and top with remaining cake layer. Spread whipped topping on top and sides of the cake. Freeze cake. Once completely frozen, wrap tightly in aluminum foil until ready to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 1 orange, peeled, and cut into chunks
  • 1 medium banana, peeled, and cut into chunks
  • 1 can (6 ounces) unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 tablespoon honey

In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Makes about 3 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons of undiluted pink lemonade

Mix together and pour into frozen pop containers or paper cup with popsicle sticks. Freeze and enjoy. Makes 2-3 pop depending on size of container.
